The Products/Services screen in Books is where you will add line items for all products/services that will be added to invoices and bills. For example, agent and broker commission, transaction coordinator fee, royalty, referral, rent, business cards, marketing fees, etc. Anything that will be paid out of a deal as part of the commission plan, and if utilizing Books for full accounting purposes, anything line items you will add to an invoice or to a bill.

Viewing Products/Services
1. In the left menu, navigate to Company. Then go to the Finance section, and select Products/Services.
2. This takes you to the Products/Services page, where you can view all your products/services.
3. You can view the following details for each service/product:
- Product Name
- Product Price
- Product Description
- Ledger Account Name
- Actions > Edit
Creating Products/Services
By default, SkySlope Books comes with the following products/services. You cannot delete any of them except the Transaction Fee, but you can update them based on your requirements.
1. Click Create at the top right of your screen.
2. This opens the Create Product page.
3. For every product/service you create, you will enter the following details:
- Name (required)
- Price(required): For products that don't have a set price, add a zero price. You will be able to add the price later once you add that service/product to an invoice or bill.
- Ledger Account (required)
- Product Description (optional)
4. Once that is complete, click Create.
5. You will see a success message at the bottom of your screen and the new product/service on the Products/Services page.
Editing Products/Services
1. Click the overflow menu for the service/product you want to edit. Then click Edit.
2. This opens the Edit Product page.
3. Edits can be made to the following fields:
- Name
- Price
- Ledger Account
- Description
4. Click Save.
5. Upon updating a product/service, you will see a success message at the bottom of your screen.
Archiving Products/Services
Products/Services being used in financial transfers cannot be deleted, only archived. Once archived, the product/service cannot be used for new transactions but will still be visible in legacy transactions.
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
2. Once you arrive on the Edit Product page, click Archive.
Note: You cannot archive a default system product.
3. Once archived, you will see "(Archived)" next to the service/product on the Products/Services page.
4. To unarchive a service/product, click Edit and the Unarchive button.
Deleting Products/Services
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
2. Once you arrive on the Edit Product page, click Delete.
Note: You cannot delete a default system product.
3. You will be asked to confirm, click Ok.
4. Upon deleting a product/services, you will see a success message at the bottom of your screen.
